screen spark hit effect

Concepted and created the screen hit effect on Operation Port Armor: Civilian Terminal. This was initially proposed so when the player shot the screen, each individual screen would break. For gameplay purposes the screens had to stay intact so I proposed the idea of a hit effect with a cracked screen texture to signify damage. Other fx artists involved: Christopher Shepard and Attila Zalanyi.

 

Breakables FX

Worked on and with the breakables team to create multiple breakable fx for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Breakables were done with either a model swap, model vanish or a looping hit effect. The process included cutting geo for havok implemented fragments and creating an effect to hide the model swap or disappearance. Examples pictured: Flower Tree, Beer Keg, Fondue Pot and Bread. Numerous items broke in the game. Other fx artists include: Chaz Sutherland, Jason Key, Quinn Kazamaki, Attila Zalanyi and Christopher Shepard.  

 

Shipping containers FX

Was part of the team creating explosion effects for the Jackal for Operation Port Armor: Shipping Storage. I stubbed in all fx for this part of the level and finalized the fx for the shipping containers including havok implemented rigid bodies for the containers themselves.. All breakables here were done with a model sawp which needed a large explosion effect to hide the swap.  Other fx artists include: Jason Key, Attila Zalanyi, Benjamin Liuand Christopher Shepard.

Electronic Spark FX

I was in charge of unifying and creating the look and feel for all spark and electronic fx for the breakables team. Some electronic breakables needed effects to hide their model swap. Other fx artists include: Chaz Sutherland, Jason Key, Quinn Kazamaki, Attila Zalanyi and Christopher Shepard.
